What do you think about using the FASTPASS system on Crush’s Coaster? This capacity-starved attraction certainly isn’t going hungry on guests – they continue to line up in their thousands each and every day for a thrilling ride on the EAC, but is the timeslot ticket system an answer?

It seems the operations managers of Disneyland Resort Paris are still not quite so sure. Which is why, from 18th to 24th August 2008, the full FASTPASS tests are due to return again!

This information comes from member Chti Greg on Disney Central Plaza forum, who provided the original forewarning of the July tests — and just happens to work as a cast member on the attraction itself.

The future is bright!

Walt Disney Studios Park opened small. Too small. But that can only mean there’s more room to expand in the future.

We had a look on a satellite photo by Virtual Earth and used the latest rumours to mark out the expansion areas within and outside the park’s berm.

All areas marked yellow are recent changes (new attractions, placemaking, etc.) while the blue is the actual expansion space…

The future seems a lot more bright now, doesn’t it? It’s only a matter of time… and money!

It’s a waiting game at Studio Tram Tour. No, not a WDS Fan waiting in vain for improvements or expansion to the tour, but a brand new electronic Wait Time sign at the entrance to the attraction.

Since the attraction said goodbye to its billboard-style entrance façade and welcomed a new Hollywood hills tunnel entrance, it has been completely without the electronic wait time sign that can be found at almost every other attraction.

Now, as a final touch to the Hollywood Boulevard project, the small planter to the right of the tunnel has been fitted with a bright yellow, diamond-shaped roadsign to display exactly how long you’ll have to wait for your date with Jeremy Irons.

Currently, it has yet to be fully-functional, the old magnetic board by its side still in use, but it shouldn’t be too long before it begins posting up those lengthy 5 and 10 minute queues…

Café Cafés, the new permanent snack stand inside the Rendez-Vous Des Stars Restaurant was revealed today as its construction fences have been removed.

Surprisingly, an interior seating area has been included in the design. The walls, frosted glass and tables are adorned with references to coffee beans.

Café Cafés will open in August and offer snacks and flavoured coffee.

No sorry, we’re not talking about the wonderful “living character” that’s currently rolling around the world to promote Disney-Pixar’s latest. Instead, Walt Disney Studios Park guests can have the opportunity to be “transported into the Wall-E’s universe” at Disney Studio 1′s Shutterbugs, as advertised on the paper sheets on the trays at Backlot Express.

The popular photo studio has updated its database of background photos with a new Wall-E picture. Through the use of the store’s green screen will it be possible to merge anyone into the visual along side the Pixar characters.

Walt Disney Studios stores have been stocked with an assortment of Wall-E merchandise. Our reporter spotted at Legends of Hollywood Wall-E t-shirts, plush, buttons, action figures and the interactive Thinkwell remote control Wall-E and EVE toys.

A French fan site recently announced that three temporary and unthemed attractions will be build behind Art of Disney Animation to increase capacity. This however, is not true! Our sources reveal that all new rides in the coming years will be well themed and permanent!

A new entertainment offering is added to the Walt Disney Studios Park list. Disney Villain diva Cruella De Vil travels in style in an old-timer marked with spots from the Cinémagique parade gate to Hollywood Blvd. where she performs sets several times a day.

Our camera filmed the brand new “living characters” meet ‘n’ greet at Rendez-Vous des Stars with chef Rémy!

New Fast Pass tests started yesterday at Crush’s Coaster. The Fast Pass machines from the Flying Carpets over Agrabah now print Crush’s Coaster tickets. A temporary sign at the entrance of the attraction points to both the Standby and the Fast Pass lines.

Other tests in the past have not been successful yet, due to the low-capacity nature of the Maurer-Söhne coaster.

“Poppy the Monkey” reports live on our message boardthat this evening a new billboard was being installed on the scaffolding on Disney Studio 1. However, he confirmed that the new billboard is actually a photo of the original façade! A long and extensive repaint is apparently planned to take place behind it, so park managment opted to cover the bare scaffolding by an advertisement-free poster.

UPDATE: Pictures added below.

The Entertainment Department at Disneyland Resort Paris has decided to rename the Disney Stars and Motor Cars parade. Currently the work name is “Disney’s Stars ‘n’ Cars Event“. Yes, that’s EVENT, not parade. Early reports indicate that the original parade will be split up into three groups of cars that will come out in the park at the same time and entertain guests at the stops on Backlot, Production Courtyard and Toon Studio.
