If you’re around the resort today or tomorrow then be sure to hop to Walt Disney Studios Park in the evening! A preview of Disney’s Stars ‘n’ Cars will be performed at 6.30 pm on 9 and 10th March 2009.

Disney Central Plaza Member “Bechamel” has revealed all the characters participating in Disney’s Stars ‘n’ Cars event:

  • Mickey and Minnie
  • Donald and Daisy
  • Goofy
  • Lilo and Stitch
  • Ariel
  • Snow White and Dopey
  • Aladdin and Jasmine
  • Mary Poppins and Bert
  • Woody and Jessie
  • Mulan and Mushu
  • Sully
  • Gaston, Cruella and the Evil Queen

Two cars from Disney’s Stars ‘n’ Cars were on display during a special event for travel agencies outside Disney’s Hotel New York convention center.

Cars for Donald and Mulan were parked at the entrance of the convention center offering a photolocation for the attending travel agents.

In the evening, special previews of all Mickey’s Magical Party shows were presented on the main stage, including a look on the new costumes for Mickey and Donald which they’ll wear in Disney’s Stars ‘n’ Cars event.

Over on Production Courtyard Stage has a new backdrop been installed where characters will get out of the vehicles and perform a short show and meet ‘n’ greets.

Word has reached us from our insider friends over at the Entertainment department that a few vehicles have been removed from the original concept we posted a few weeks ago.

The new (and final) line up is:

  • Aladdin
  • Disney Villains
  • Donald and Daisy
  • Lilo and Stitch
  • Mary Poppins
  • Mickey, Minnie & Goofy
  • Monsters Inc.
  • Mulan
  • Snow White
  • The Little Mermaid
  • Toy Story

You’ll notice that Star Wars is absent from the list, as well as the new vehicles Pirates of the Caribbean (The Muppets), Finding Nemo (Playhouse Disney) and Cruella Devil, which will not overtake the Disney Villains car. Jack Sparrow has been exchanged for Donald and Daisy Duck who’ll open the parade in their vehicle. The Playhouse Disney and Star Wars vehicles will not be used in the event at all.

These vehicles will roll out on the Walt Disney Studios parade route next year:

Disney’s Hollywood Studios originals:

  • Toy Story
  • Star Wars
  • Snow White
  • The Little Mermaid
  • Mulan
  • Monsters Inc.
  • Mary Poppins
  • Lilo and Stitch
  • Aladdin
  • Fab 5 (Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, …)

Disney’s Hollywood Studios rebuild vehicles:

  • Pirates of the Caribbean (Formerly The Muppets)
  • Finding Nemo (Formerly Playhouse Disney)
  • Cruella Devil (formerly Disney Villains)

Recycled Disneyland Resort Paris vehicles:

  • Chip and Dale vehicle (formerly used in Toon Circus)
  • Studios Truck

The Entertainment Department at Disneyland Resort Paris has decided to rename the Disney Stars and Motor Cars parade. Currently the work name is “Disney’s Stars ‘n’ Cars Event“. Yes, that’s EVENT, not parade. Early reports indicate that the original parade will be split up into three groups of cars that will come out in the park at the same time and entertain guests at the stops on Backlot, Production Courtyard and Toon Studio.

Your very own Photos Magiques/WDSfans team captured the Stars & Motor cars on video in 2005 when visiting Walt Disney World.

Check it out below to know what yo can expect from the event that will be launched next year in our Walt Disney Studios Park.

However, close sources to WDSFans claim that the parade will be altered to Paris-standards and may feature different or altered cars than the Florida version.

Thomas Tryon, a show producer for Disney Parks & Resorts revealed and confirmed in a recent podcast by WDW Today that the Stars and Motor Cars Parade will be moved to Disneyland Resort Paris.

The new parade will be introduced next year.

Disney Cinema Parade will be driving through Walt Disney Studios Park for the very last time today as it will be retired after almost 6 years in service. It’s succeeder, Disney Stars and Motor Cars Parade from Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando, will be introduced next year, leaving the park “parade-less” for almost a year.

Multiple insiders at Disneyland Resort Paris’ entertainment department and other department have let us know that the end of Disney Cinema Parade, running since 2002, is coming to an end soon. The parade will most likely stop performing as of January 2008. It’s replacement, the Disney Stars and Motor Cars Parade from Disney-MGM Studios at Walt Disney World, has yet to receive an official start date. There’s no news yet on which cars will make it across the Pacific.

In the mean time, check out the Disney Stars and Motor Cars Parade album at Photos Magiques.
