The Secrets, History and Magic of Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror News

Google Earth has (finally) updated its satellite image from Disneyland Resort Paris with a recent snapshot from October 2007. Toon Studio (with Cars Race Rally and Crush’s Coaster) is open and Tower of Terror is clearly present with the Hollywood Boulevard near completion.

It’s rumoured that DLRP will soon be presented on Google Earth by 3D buildings, similar to Walt Disney World who launched its virtual resort not so long ago..

Photos Magiques has a great amount of photos from the exclusive press-only Tower of Terror opening event. The attraction’s story was told on the actual Hollywood Tower Hotel using projections and pyrotechnics.

DLRP has created an excellent Tower of Terror website with great looking graphics and features. Although not everything is online yet, you can get a glimpse of the main features. A game is coming online soon where visitors have to search through the several rooms in the hotel for ghosts.

We’ve uploaded another video to Dailymotion. This time focussing on Tower of Terror and its great fiber optics effect logo.

French youth channel M6 is organising a contest with Disneyland Resort Paris in which its viewers can write their very own version of a Tower of Terror commercial. A jury will then select the best script and produce it, to air the new ad in April on M6 and its sub-channels.

Before you rush out your notepad and pencil, the contest will only be available for residents of France… However, it’s not clear yet if a similar contest will be launched in other countries as well.

Park operations continues to put efforts in attracting more guests to Walt Disney Studios Park. When the new Toon Studio attractions opened, a large amount of posters appeared all over the resort advertising Crush’s Coaster and Cars Quattre Roues Rallye.

A new set of posters is now showing up, for Tower of Terror this time. They follow the already installed poster over the moving walkways towards the parking lot.

Other posters have been replaced as well: the Ratatouille ones on Disney Studio 1 by ads for Disney’s new hit Enchanted. Unfortunately is the large Cars billboard still present…

Disney Central Plaza member “concombre2k7″ captured the dedication of Tower of Terror on video, including the suiting spooky effects inside Disney Studio 1.

The WDSfans crew got their hands on the Fast Pass ticket for Tower of Terror!

The ticket is designed in a similar way to the other ones found around the resort. The background features the attraction’s logo, printed vertically.

Photos Magiques has updated their Tower of Terror album with brand new photos starting from the Hotel’s gardens to the exit.
